The Stena Metall Group's success factors include proud and committed employees with the right knowledge and skills to further develop operations. The starting point is comprised of among other things, a common value foundation, a safe and secure work environment and continuous skills development.
Within the group, continuous work is underway to limit the risk of incidents and injuries as far as possible with the aim of zero accidents occurring. This work is based on the group's common policy, guidelines and minimum requirements. The concepts “Take five”, “Safety walks” and “Time out for safety” fulfill important functions in efforts to create a culture of safety thinking.
Stena Metall strives for a more even gender distribution in its operations as there is a deficit of women in senior positions and among those employed under a collective agreement in parts of the organization. During the year, Stena Components put special focus on this issue, which resulted in the proportion of women in the organization increasing from 4 to 15 percent. Diversity is also an important focus area and an important aspect of the companies’ recruitment processes.
The foundation of Stena Metall’s values and corporate culture is based on the values described by the principal owner and Chairman of the Board Dan Sten Olsson in the book “Principles, Convictionsand Basic Values for Stena Metall AB”. This is also reinforced by the group's three core values – Simplicity, Reliability and Developmentand the group's code of conduct. The foundation of values permeates all activities and contributes to creating value for customers, the organization and society at large.
